What if the banks burn down? Meh.

Travis James here.

This page is going to be used for updates on the insane shit we'll all be up to. We're on the road in a big, scary, black school bus with around ten insane destructopaths, and we intend to have a blast if it kills us, or someone else.

If you didn't know, we're doing a musical/story telling tour across the country. Expect posts/videos from live music sets, some talks about resistance, and other assorted dangerous and ridiculous exploits. We plan on burning/breaking things, exhuming a body from a graveyard, and all sorts of things that should keep your attention.

On the day of departure, I had to stop by the bank to cash seven paychecks that had been sitting around in my room for months (because I don't really dig money all that much a lot of the time). The banker who helped us was curious as to why I didn't have an account. I told him "I'm more of the "pile of money under the mattress" kinda guy.

As if this wasn't a totally inappropriate and invasive question, he tried to persuade me to get an account by asking, "What if your house burns down?"

I replied, "That wouldn't be so bad, I don't have a house. But I like to ask what if all the banks burn down?"

Without hesitation or any visible signs of being phased, he promptly responded, "Well, that's just fine! All the money is in the computers, anyway! YOUR MONEY IS SAFE."

I'll bear in mind from here on out that it's just fine if the banks burn down. Liberals and capitalists shouldn't have such strong qualms with arson at all then, because capitalism can't really be destroyed by fire alone anyway, so everything can just go on as usual forever no matter what. Money. Is. Safe. Forever.

Good to know, thanks. We got to the beach in San Diego. I poured some Pepsi in the ocean to remind it that it of what it's capable of spewing out. Our show is tonight on a pier where we watched a man slice the fins off of a sting ray with his child looking on unpleasantly. I'm sure we'll have a blast.
